ERMAPPER-L users, Has anyone on here previously used the technique of "Topographic Normalization" within ER Mapper?
It is used to reduce the shadow effect of hillsides. The process inputs are a DEM, sun angle, sun azimuth and the output is an image where the dark sides of the hill are balanced with the light sides.
