Hi Leo:

I don't know if you already know this, but the USGS Global Land Cover
Characterization Database offers AVHRR-derived datasets from all continents.
They are not 'true' satellite images, but NDVI Maximum Value Composites (one
image per month).

Some small Sao Paulo image subsets (Landsat 5, Landsat 7 and Spot) can ve
found in the Brazilian 'Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais' (National
Institute for Spatial Research):

And some small CBERS images:

List,

Good morning, I am hoping that you can point me in the right
direction. I
am trying to locate some type of free satellite image which covers a large
area (Approx. 1100 x 1100 km). I was looking at Modis but there are no
images in my area of interest, (that figures!!). My specs are below. Thanks
for any assistance.

Area: Sao Palo, Brazil

Upper Left:
Lat: 19-03S
Long: 50-42W

Lower Right:
Lat: 29-12S
Long: 40-09W
