G'day all

I have sime USGS NED data in BIL format with a .hdr file for part of Nevada.
The data is in Geographic projection (same as Geodetic?) and uses the NAD83
datum. Coordinates are in Decimal degrees and the reference point is in Lat
& Long.

Once I import the file and put in the reference point the .ers file that
looks like below;

DatasetHeader Begin
 Version  = "6.2"
 Name  = "C:\testNED_Lat&Long_NAD83_ken.ers"
 LastUpdated = Wed Mar 27 20:21:21 GMT 2002
 DataSetType = ERStorage
 DataType = Raster
 ByteOrder = MSBFirst
 CoordinateSpace Begin
  Datum  = "NAD83"
  Projection = "GEODETIC"
  CoordinateType = LL
  Rotation = 0:0:0.0
 CoordinateSpace End
 RasterInfo Begin
  CellType = Unsigned16BitInteger
  NrOfLines = 4741
  NrOfCellsPerLine = 4050
  RegistrationCoord Begin
   Latitude = 41:41:30.500000199
   Longitude = -116:37:29.499999892
  RegistrationCoord End
  NrOfBands = 1
  BandId Begin
   Value  = "band 1"
  BandId End
  RegionInfo Begin
   Type  = Polygon
   RegionName = "All"
   SubRegion = {
    0 0
    0 4741
    4050 4741
    4050 0
   }
  RegionInfo End
 RasterInfo End
DatasetHeader End

I want to reproject copies of this data to Albersea and UTM-zone 11 both in
NAD27, but ERMapper v6.21 won't seem to do this; it keeps saying that there
are problems with the output extents.

I suspect the problem is that I haven't set a cell size (it defaults to a
size of 1). Given that the Geodetic projection the units must be decimal
degrees, what cell size do I use? NED data has 30m resolution, do I need to
convert that to equivalent decimal degrees at the appropriate latitude
(41.5N)?

Hope you can help with what is probably a basic problem.

Cheers and thanks in advance
