open the dataset in ER Mapper, then select Geoposition from the View menu. select the extents tab. that will give you the top left and bottom right directly, but you can take the top left northing and the bottom right easting to get the top right coordinate, and take the top left easting and the bottom right northing to get the bottom left coordinate.
