Vincent,

I looked at some of my other Landsat NLAPS data and they have extentions of
.h1 and .h2, so use them. If you open these files with a text editor you
will see, at the bottom, the image files that it will import with that
specific header file. My .H1 imported band 1-4, and the .H2 imported bands
5-7.

Hope this helps,

Subject: help loading Landsat 7 ETM+ NLAPS?

thank you Leo,
but the dataset i received from EROS has no xxx.hd file in the set. there
are ".DD .DH .H1 .H2 .H3 .HI .I1 .I2 .I3 .I4 .I5 .I6 .I7 .I8 .I9 and .WO"
extensions but no ".hd".

i obtained these sets from the USGS MRLC2000 program, a wonderful deal where
you can get Landsat 7 ETM+ datasets for $45.00 per set for noncommercial
purposes.
please see: http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/products/satellite/mrlc2000.html
but i cannot get these scenes into ERMapper and i am not sophisticated
enough to know what is wrong. truth is, i am an artist and hobbyist who
enjoys modeling my neighborhood, and looking for new ways to see the
beautyful place i liv in, (the Hudson valley and the Catskills.
so please, if anyone can help, i would be very grateful.

i have tried loading from three different CDs, tried loading different files
with different suffexes, but the furthest i get is to line 6100 of the 8th
or 9th file read, then a freeze.
i am using ERMapper 6.21 under windows2000
thanks again,
vincent
