Hi, If the ascii points have regular xy spacings you can use the import ascii option to create a .ers file and associated bil data file. This can then be loaded into a height layer.
If the data is irregularly spaced, you can use the gridding module instead of the import. Hope this helps. cheers Mike > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Joe barnard > Sent: Tuesday, 27 August 2002 4:34 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: how to create elevation layer (DTED or DEM) from xyz > ascii file > > > HI, > How can in create elevation layer (dted, dem)in ER Mapper 6.2 > from ascii > file containing x,y,z points. > Thanks > joe > > _________________________________________________________________ > Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. > http://www.hotmail.com > > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > To make changes to your subscription, please visit our > website, http://www.ermapper.com/technicl/ermapperl/index.htm > > ----------------------------------------------------------- To make changes to your subscription, please visit our website, http://www.ermapper.com/technicl/ermapperl/index.htm
