if i ever have to view/fly through or print a dataset with text in 3d, i'll build the algorithm, minus the height dataset, save the algorithm as an .ecw/.ers and then use that compressed dataset, plus the height dataset in 3d. works for me!
lance -----Original Message----- From: Brian Murphy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, September 10, 2002 3:16 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: 3-D imaging and DXF text Hope someone has come across this problem before. I am using ERMapper 6.3. Win 2000 SP3 512 MB PC RDRAM Nvidia Quadro Pro 64mb video card. Files used in Algorithm: - Mosaic.ERS (orthoimage) - Height (projectDEM.ers) - 4 annotation (ERV files from DXF import) layers (includes 2 point files, 1 line file, and 1 text file) Problem: I am trying to import a DXF to an ERV file (has points with text) In normal mode, the text and points appear just fine. The problem arises when I try to view the algorithm with 3D Perspective or 3D Flythrough. The text file will not display. What might be the problem here? I've fiddled with most settings within the ERMapper preferences, but to no avail. Similarly, I can find no issues with the video card. If more information is needed to query this problem, please let me know. RSVP to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks in advance to all who reply.
