Hello Mats,
It appears that the install has failed to copy the files and update settings
which could be the result of conflict between a previous install. The
conflict arises when two or more installs share the INSTALLATIONGUID (which
is the case for the ArcView, Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro ECW plugins). In
you case you alreadly had Photoshop ECW plugin installed so you had problems
when you tried to install the Paint Shop Pro ECW plugin. I will need to
update the plugin installs to use a different INSTALLATIONGUID to correct
this problem.
In the meantime, you could please try the following:
The install is created using Installshield which stores information in the
folder:
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\<INSTALL_GUID>
where <INSTALL_GUID> could be {F13BA02B-435A-11D2-A597-00104B97152B}
1) Uninstall the Paint Shop Pro ECW plugin
2) Check to see if you have the folder:
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation
Information\{F13BA02B-435A-11D2-A597-00104B97152B}
if so, rename the folder, say with '_' :
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation
Information\_{F13BA02B-435A-11D2-A597-00104B97152B}
3) Run the Paint Shop Pro ECW plugin install, then check to see if ECW
support is available.
Let me know if this allows you to successfully install the Paint Shop Pro
ECW plugin.

Hi All!
On one new computer, I cannot install the ECW plugin for Paint Shop Pro.
It's the anniversary edition. The previous version of the installer gave a
file moving error, and in the current version the installer flashes a window
briefly and tells me it's finished, but has not copied any files nor written
anything to the registry.
On the same machine, I have PhotoShop 7 and the ECW plugin for that without
problem. There was someone saying that the installer could conflict these
two?
