If you only need to do a few tiles, you can do this through the GeopositionKristof -I would like to tile a large raster dataset and output it into several smaller tiff files (all of them 500 by 500 pixels). Is there a way to do it with ER Mapper? Or is the only reasonable option to use the ESG Utilities Wizards (Cut Algorithm into Tiles)?
dialog. On Extents, set the Cell X and Y Size fields to 500, and Apply.
Save that as a TIFF. Then if you go back to the Zoom tab, clicking the
"Pan right" button twice will move over exactly one 500 pixel tile. Once you get to
the end, click "Pan down" twice to move down one row, then use "Pan left"
twice to reverse back, etc.. My "Cut Algorithm Tiles Wizard" would be easier if you
have many tiles to do, or need a specific amount of overlap.
