And here we just wrapped up an internal debate about wiring routing
for Spike. The purist faction wanted to run it inside the peroxide
tank to reduce drag and minimize potential landing damage. The
pragmatist faction want to run it outside the tank for ease of
manufacture, operations, and maintenance, and the hell with the drag.
(Can you tell which side I was on?) When the pragmatists proposed a
ribbon cable secured to the exterior tank wall by adhesive aluminum
tape, the purists relented.
Of course, Spike will be rather smaller than a Saturn V.
