This is at least the dozenth announcement I've seen of the resurrection of the Amiga. I really don't care about shows or marketing. All I want to know is how do I buy one? I don't even want to know that until 1) I can buy it right now, or at least order it from a store that has them in stock or can drop ship it within a week, and 2) it costs less than twice what a PC costs.
PowerPC is definitely seeming like it might be a solution to paying the Microsoft tax. Hopefully board makers won't jump on that "trusted computing" (read: computing allowed by Microsoft) bandwagon. I'm just imagining myself ten years down the line without any computers less than ten years old except those I cobbled together myself. Kind of like cars with OBD2. -- Sean R.
