And we non-programmers appreciate that.
I had an interface programmer a few years ago who was an absolute
genius. He could make emulators sit up and beg. But his work was all
but useless to the rest of the interface team, because we couldn't
implement it - we weren't smart enough to understand his
documentation. Only he could implement his work, and he was too busy
writing code to be bothered with implementation.
As a systems guy, I don't need to understand what goes in each little
black box, but I sure like to know how they work together. Using a
lot of modularity makes my life easier.
