Sometimes a prod from a congressperson works wonders. Even
a call from one of their staffpeople can move things along.

We have been pursuing a low altitude waiver for over a year
now. Initially, I got a rejection over the phone, but no followup. After
they got some push from the Washington AST office, they at least gave us
the written acknowledgement of the denial with some bullshit excuses
("Directly between two flight paths out of DFW" ??? Would they rather it be
"Directly under"???). Over two months ago we made an in-person
presentation and agreed to some concessions (no sport rocketry launches
permitted, 3000' instead of 5000'), but in the 70 days since then, they
haven't taken any of the half dozen calls we have made to check on it.
