Those negative comments are intended to prevent you from having a
very negative experience. I suggest you continue to read them. True,
some might try to tell you to forget the whole thing. But if you pursue
rocketry (or most anything, actually), you'll get lots of this from people
around you. Learn to distinguish the warners from the downers.
Now, as to your teacher: It wuold help if you find out how much
experience she's had with concentrated hydrogen peroxide. As everyone
here has told you, it can be nasty. Also, it's not something you can buy
from the corner drugstore. You need to contact a specialty chemical
company -- and then they'll want you to take a training course, after
which they'll happily sell you a 55-gallon drum or two (no small
quantities.) Total cost: a kilobuck or three.
That's just the first hurdle you have to get over.
