Yes, quite a bit, actually.  The usual technique is to use
a solid oxide electrolyte, yttria-stabilized zirconia, that
(at 1000 C) conducts oxygen ions.  This arrangement reduces
the electrical energy required for electrolysis by about 25%
(because the voltage goes down with increasing temperature.)
