The centrifugally separated uranium gas from hydrogen
fuel style engine was discussed earlier. This engine
sounded efficient, but with very unsavory failure
modes, especially if used for earth launched vehicles.
If such an engine ever crashed, wouldn't all of the
uranium gas just leak out the exhaust nozzle? How
would you moderate the reactor after a crash,
especially after the engine quit spinning and all the
gas pooled to one side of the reactor vessel?
