This will work well in moderate temperatures, say up to 100 F.  Above
that, you just have to schedule your operations around the heat of the
day, or pay VERY close attention to crew health, heat load, desert
survival training, etc.

Actually skin cancer isn't much of a threat.  Most of the sun exposure
related risk of skin cancer is incurred by age five.  Sunburn, on the
other hand...  There are all solvable problems, of course - weekend
rocketeers aren't too much different from weekend golfers, except the
stakes are a bit higher...
