And just for giggles, note that the last time the USAF insisted it needed
a fast-response launcher, what it built was Titan IIIC.
I kid you not, fast response was the #1 reason cited as to why the USAF
had to build its own heavy launcher and couldn't just use Saturn Is. And
low cost was #2. And the resulting line of development ultimately yielded
Titan IV, the only expendable that ever made the shuttle look good by
comparison...
