I mentioned this to those at CDI on Sat. It's a steam-powered pump with no moving parts whatsoever, being developed by a British company called Pursuit Dynamics. They're thinking of using it for boat propulsion and industrial pumping. I think it might be usable for propellant pumping as well. This would entail replacing the steam generator with a pre-burner (either fuel or oxidizer rich, depending on which propellant is to be pumped), and adding a diffuser to convert the kinetic energy of the stream exiting the pump to pressure. It's inherently a staged combustion approach, and since the temperature rise out of the device is only a few degrees C, should be usable with cryogens.
