On Saturday, we cleaned out the propellant shed somewhat. We now have much more room to work. We also discussed with Chuck several things that need to be done to come into full fire code compliance for that building. First, we need to finish clearing out the remaining junk in that building. Mostly, it's heavy bits now, plus some remaining scrap. Included in this are two large, empty N2 cylinders of indeterminate condition. Chuck is willing to let us use them. They are doubtless long out of hydrotest, and need new safety caps, but there is no good reason to think that they are unserviceable. I would like someone to get a quote on a new hydro for them so we can use them.
Ok, I forgot to mention the other things. One, we need to put a hydrant on the 1-1/2" water line in the propellant building, along with a 1-1/2" rot-proof fire hose in a box. Second, we need to replace the eye-wash station and emergency shower in the propellant building, b/c the existing ones are shot. Third, we need to clear out the remaining big things and take them to the appropriate boneyard. Since I want to go up this weekend, both days, in order to do some serious sparging with DaveW's new topping up system, we should be able to do that.
