Short answer: lots and lots, including diesel fuel (I just saw a nifty little marine stove that uses catalytic combustion of diesel and air for heat). Most liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons should work.

I am currently in Honolulu, and will return to the Bay Area sometime in late August. -------Original Message------- From: Jonathan Andrew Goff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: 08/09/03 08:53 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ERPS] Re: Question for John about catalytic combustion <SNIP> Ok, thanks for the info, that'll help a bit. So, I guess my other question is, what other fuels than hydrogen will catalytically react with air (instead of nitrous) at room temperature when using a platinum based catalyst? <SNIP> _______________________________________________ ERPS-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.erps.org/mailman/listinfo/erps-list > _______________________________________________ ERPS-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.erps.org/mailman/listinfo/erps-list
