Short answer: lots and lots, including diesel fuel (I just saw a nifty little marine
stove that uses catalytic combustion of diesel and air for heat). Most liquid or
gaseous hydrocarbons should work.

PS: I am back on dry land after a rather ... interesting shakedown cruise. I am
currently in Honolulu, and will return to the Bay Area sometime in late August.

Ok, thanks for the info, that'll help a bit. So,
I guess my other question is, what other fuels
than hydrogen will catalytically react with air
(instead of nitrous) at room temperature when using
a platinum based catalyst?
