There is nothing fundamentally wrong with multiple tether attach points. We had many test flights with the vehicles slowly pulling up against a tether without any bad behavior.

Mke sure your attachment points and tether are able to handle some significant shock loads. Our splat crash of the manned lander tore off the tether mounts like they weren't even there. Best bet is to loop around the major structural member of the vehicle if possible. Don't trust an eye bolt unless it is REALLY well mounted to something very strong.

Use a shock absorbing tether. This is difficult to have underneath the engines, but a climbing rope inside a PE sheath inside some tubular insulation would be a good bet for POGO / gizmocopter.

If you do a hanging test, make sure to account for all the possible stretch in your haning line and the flex in whatever you are hanging it from, which can be significant. Also all possible vehicle swinging orientations under the tether. We banged one of the legs on our tube vehicle even though we had started it hanging a foot off the ground.
