Michael reported that the California Spaceport Authority is re-evaluating
funding options now that Arnold Schwartzenegger has been sworn in as
governor. (There was no confirmation of the rumor that the name of our fair
state must now be pronounced "kah-lee-for-nee-ah".)
TREASURER
---------
Rick Eversole
Since paying the installment on rent for Unit 23, we have somewhat less
money. If all funds allocated are spent, we will be over budget by $500.
This situation will be looked at and budgets realigned at the next board of
directors meeting.

New Business
------------
Regarding ERPS' efforts to buy its own liability insurance, Pierce
reported that XCOR's insurance agent, Duncan MacGillivray, still cannot
give us a quote on premiums. Pierce is looking into getting a standard
liability policy with a rider for hot-fire tests -- possibly one that
operates on an as-needed basis.
Dave M reported that a lease has been signed for Unit 23, the unit next
door to CDI's current facility. Plans for allocating this space to the
various lessors and installing equipment are in work.
Rick has created a vector-format version of the ERPS logo. In addition to
printing in much better quality, this can be scaled up to reasonably large
sizes such as for a t-shirt. The plan is to use it in such promotional
items.
Dan reported that there is a possibility of getting a CNC milling machine
on indefinite loan. If obtained, this would go into Unit 23.
Other members are working on getting different sorts of gear in donation.
Meeting #272 adjourned at 8:57 PM. The next meeting will take place on 04
December 2003 at the Denny's on Bowers Avenue in Santa Clara. Watch the
list for full driving directions.
Respectfully submitted,
Chris Winter
