The amount of torque available by acting on the engine exhaust is going to be too small for vehicles like Carmack's. The exhaust diameter is just too small.
Probably makes sense to have a small tangential pair of roll thrusters. In the case of H2O2, small on-off thrusters. BTW, congrats, John on quick success with jet vane steering. Some methods lead to quick success, and some cause much frustration. Could I interest you in a "hydrogen free" version of peroxide?
