At Rotary, we did use Sodium Permanganate, not Potassium Permanganate. I mixed every bit of it, and it is one of those bad memories to recall.. We used it at more like a 3% ratio than 1% in the ATV.
That is the third conflicting report on specifics I have had from people involved in the project. If you mixed it, I'll take your word for it.
We have done a few tests over the years with liquid catalysts, and they have always been problematic, but we figure it is worth a little bit more experimentation before we start work on a $30,000 motor.
