The jet vanes and the axles look to be in god shape. Deducing from the color, they got less hot than on the tests where you had a closed box welded to the end of the nozzle. In the present configuration I think there is some secondary air entrained through the mounting frame that provides some cooling. At low flight velocities and especially while hovering entrained secondary air could even significantly augment thrust.
