Minutes of ERPS General Meeting #285
17 June 2004
The President called the meeting to order at 8:02 PM. Members present were
Rick Eversole, Gerry Nordley, Julie Porter, Adrian Tymes, Michael Wallis,
David Weinshenker, and Chris Winter. Roger Gregory visited again to give
and get a status update.

Julie advised that she has posted links to the TINA information on the
mailing list.

Pierce relayed a request from Dave M: Please keep the front office at #23
clean in order to avoid giving visitors a negative opinion of our
operations.
Gerry reported that the parties at Baycon were all quite successful.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Michael has heard nothing lately from the NASA Centennial Challenges
group.
Nothing new has been announced concerning S.1260, but there is still a
chance (a slight one) that the bill will pass during the current session of
Congress.
Pierce reported that the FAA was hoping for a string of three successful
civilian launches: CSXT, SpaceShipOne, and Paragon. Due to the failure of
Paragon, they only got two.

Rick Eversole
Rick needs estimated budgets from all project leads ASAP so he can prepare
the overall budget for next fiscal year.
He is working to complete this year's annual report so it can be published
on the Web site.

Dave W reported that fabrication of parts for Freezewheel Mark I is
complete. The parts are now being cleaned prior to assembly and testing of
the apparatus.

TESTING

Ranch issues: * The only regulatory hurdle in the way of emplacing the
large diesel generator is to pin down the minimum distance required between
the engine and any nearby vegetation.
* When we are ready to pour the 4' x 6' by 0.5' pad for the
generator,
we will have to buy cement, sand &etc. but can use Chuck's mixer.
* As for the water tanks, we can proceed with remaining work
whenever
Chuck is ready.
