My point? If you had read the source code, then you might have reason
for waiting to hear from the objective-j folks to make a decision on
[[Writable]] name. What could the reason be?

People do all sorts of things with javascript. Whether those things
effectively and efficiently solve problems is something that can often
be determined by looking at the problem juxtaposed against the source
code without too much difficulty (this is depending on the fundamental
complexity of the problem).
