Are there any objections to removing the normalization property from the
Intl.Collator options object, and to documenting the associated "kk" Unicode
locale extension key as unsupported, in the first edition of the ECMAScript
Internationalization API? If so, please raise them by Tuesday, October 9, 18:00
PDT (2012-10-10T01:00:00Z).

At the September TC 39 meeting, it was suggested to remove the option to turn
off normalization on Intl.Collator. Erik Arvidsson in particular pointed out
that this option is purely for performance, which should be handled within
implementations and not through the standard.

We discussed this again at the internationalization meeting last Friday, and
agreed that it's best to remove the feature. Theoretically this might be done
in a later edition, but several attendees suggested doing it now would be best.

Best regards,
Norbert
