Just to acknowledge this point, I think we can all agree that providing tools 
to write specifications clearly, concisely, and precisely is important and 
useful.

I just happen to find that agreement very boring, and thus dove into the 
much-more-interesting aspect of the conversation, which was about this script 
settings object stack :)
