Support improved renaming of files using VFS transport

A user has proposed this: when a file is moved into a "processed" directory by
the VFS transport, it would be nice to rename it to include the date and time.
e.g.
original file: incoming/i222.txt
processed file: processed/i222-05-sep-2007-17:32:31UTC.txt
or something along those lines. Perhaps we could introduce some kind of
parameterization like %D for date etc. There are several models that might work.
