I have the fix for this issue right now, and it just needs a bit more
testing and verification, esp to ensure that SYNAPSE-255 remains fixed
as well, which I will check with Ruwan once he gets to work today.
Can you replace the synapse-transports-1.2-SNAPSHOT.jar of the V5 build
at webapp/WEB-INF/lib with this file

, and check if this solves the problem? This does not cause a regression
for SYNAPSE-255, but I am still testing a bit more when load balancing /
failover endpoints are used, and the connections are terminated abruptly
