Any attempt to create a data source brings up dialog box with 'NULL' in it

Any attempt to create a data source to access a MS 2005 SQL Server simply
displays a dialog box with the single word "NULL" in it.
Click on Add Data Source
Add in MyDataSource into name
Add in MyDataSourceID into Data Source Name field.
Add "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver" into Driver
Add "jdbc:sqlserver://MyDbServer;databaseName=MyDB;" into URL
Enter a username / password. Click add. Error dialog is shown.
The MSSQL jar is installed and these parameters work in the wso2 data services
project.
