Hi Hartmut

Well.. thats not bad at all.. but the only thing is that we do not yet have
such a component available for the ESB :-) ..

However, you may want to run the ESB as a daemon process that can be
started or stopped separately.. we also have support to stop the server via
JMX, but this does not allow you to re-start it..

But the best option I see is to start the ESB with with a slightly modified
Java Service Wrapper configuration (held in the wrapper.conf) so that you
could use JMX to control this process as listed here
http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/jmx.html. Then you can use
JConsole, or even write a small web app that runs on your application
server to control the ESB process on the external machine

      Hi Hartmut

----> the ESB will run seperate to the server application, but
            I'd like

      to

start and stop it from my server application.

Hmm.. so how I understand this is that you have some kind of an
application server like WebSphere that runs on JDK 1.4.x, but you
      like
to "start" and "stop" the WSO2 server that runs on a separate machine
through some UI console displayed via an application hosted on your
      Application server?

----> the thing is that my server application is running under
            JDK 1.4.2

      _13

and the ESB needs JDK 1.5.x.
----> hope it becomes clearer :-)

Unless you have specific restrictions, I would suggest that you
            run your
ESB separate from other applications to enforce hard modularity
            - i.e.
you don't want your ESB to get stuck, even if your app server
            or a
mis-behaving application does.. Also, you will need to use JDK
            1.5.x for
            the ESB..

----> that is what I wanna do :-)

      Cool :)

Let us know if you have any other questions or problems you want to
      solve...
