Hi Stefan, Can you please let us know the exact steps which you followed to reproduce this issue. I was able to successfully login to the Admin console with version 1.7.1 both from Firefox 3 and IE7.
I have JDK1.5.0_14 installed on my machine and doqnloaded the latest ESB version from http://dist.wso2.org/products/esb/java/1.7.1/wso2-esb-java-1.7.1-bin.zip location.
