pico was legally surrendered to the vet, and then surrendered to ERU... pico
was not kept properly socialized & panicked at the first sight of human or dog.
i had pico for about 3 weeks after he was released by the vet's office as not
contagious... his condition was never officially diagnosed, but it was
preventable... he had never seen a vet and was kept isolated. it's not
completely the owner's fault, b/c she was not properly educated on the
importance of routine vet care for a puppy or the eskie temperment.

the director in charge of pico's case has been told that his former owner is
inquiring about him and she'll be in touch.

"I am involved in dog rescue: my wallet and gas tank are always running on
empty, my house is never quiet and free of dog hair, nor is my car, my inbox is
full of ongoing despair and misery, but my heart and soul are replenished with
unconditional love, loyalty, and joy that can only come from a rescued dog!" ~

Hello, My name is Eric James Garcia; sixteen years. I live in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I had an american eskimo male whose name was Pico but he
caught some type of disease. I think it was the fungal disease, I'm not sure.
But we couldn't afford to help him. He was my very first dog. For a year I've
been persuading my momto buy a puppy and finally she did. I was very happy.
Pico was the first one to catch my eyes. After buying him in I think February,
I taught him many tricks. I only had him for seven months. He was born December
21,2007. And I think about him everyday. I guess you can call me a dog lover
even though he was the only dog I had. But I love animals. Anyways, this isn't
about me. It's about Pico. So we gave him away to this veternarian clinic not
too far from my house. And my mom (Sandra Garcia-Alvarez) and older sister
(Sarina Garcia) told me that the american eskie rescue will pick him up. After
crying, I asked my mom where it was located and I can;t remember. But the first
thing that comes to my mind is Minnesota. Please, as much as I miss him, I want
to know if he's okay. Because he was very, very, sick.
