Marian, I am so happy for you and Sunny (and your Christmas tree).  Kelly is
beautiful.  She's very lucky to have the both of you and I know she will be
very happy!

Good July 5th All

As you know Sunny lost his beloved Kiwi in January of this year due to an
unfortunate accident in the home....I won't go into the details...for those of
us around at the time, it's all too clear!

So for the last 6 months, we have been looking for a new wife for his
nibs....35 years is a long time to go without a mate!! We've interviewed
perspective candidates, had long emails back and forth with sweet young things
looking for a husband and we have finally found a young lady that meets Sunny's
particular requirements.  He has asked me to tell you that this doesn't mean he
still doesn't love Kiwi and always will, but he doesn't want to be lonely
anymore either...talking to the Christmas tree (which I can now take down!)
while having it's good points wasn't quite the same as having a mate to share
his cage with!!.

So without further ado, meet KELLY.  Kelly is just over 1 year of age so she is
a trophy wife for you know who.  She is a widow...lost her mate when he flew
out the window...he really did.  So, she has been lonely too!!   Unlike Kiwi
who was green, Kelly is a blue Indian Ringneck...please see pix....and where
Kiwi was a solid girl, Kelly is a bit on the petite side
(hissssssssssssssssssss).....she had trouble eating as a youngster but all
that's cleared up now.

She arrived on Friday night and is a bit of a princess.  She too came from the
same breeder as the others and her previous owner was looking for a husband for
her.  She is settling in...although it can and will probably take a good 6
months.  She is trying to talk which is terrific as Sunny, who, as you know is
quite the talker.  Right now she is in a cage by herself right next to Sunny
and when the time is right I will move the both of them into a new cage
together.  But this is a great opportunity for them to get to know each other
on their own time.

I've attached a couple of pix...so enjoy!!m and please join me in welcoming
Kelly to her new home!!

Marian
