the United States invites you to participate in the Iowa Humane Lobby Day at
the Iowa State Capitol Building in Des Moines, where you’ll make a tremendous
difference for animals.
This is an exciting opportunity to meet directly with your elected officials or
their staff about legislation that will significantly impact animals. There
will be a briefing on tips for lobbying and an overview of pending animal
legislation from 9-11 a.m. at the Legislative Services Agency Miller Building
(walking distance to the state Capitol), which will prepare you to meet your
elected officials and advocate for animals, followed by the opportunity to meet
with your legislators at the Capitol starting at 11:30 a.m.
If you are unable to attend the 9-11 a.m. briefing at the Miller Building,
please check in at the Iowans for Animals table in the rotunda of the Capitol
for your legislator information between 11:30-3:00.
