Yes, it is now time (76 years) that I go into an assisted living establishment. My kids are visiting some and yesterday found the most reasonable new and most lavish for the cost one can imagine. It is over the border in Brookings, Oregon where my grand-kids and also where my sadly give up doggie the barking Pom will be living where they want her so badly and also have a little boy Pom now in the home. She will have a larger yard there as she loves to be outside where Beau is my third arm inside. I can have my Beau or I would elected to find a tent city otherwise. He is my life and healing dog. If anyone of you want to look this place by it's homesite it will be in Search - seaviewseniorliving.com. It just opened recently and is full. I should have a first level apartment in a week if plans are kept. They are a part of a New York management and looks like a very lavish layout and facility for the costs. I will of course have to give up almost my paltry income but this is the only way I can live and not be scared and feel secure. There are even three levels of care so I can plan on this my last home. It looks like the reward for we old folks who have served others for life. I plan on taking only minimal things as I want less housework that ever. I am taking all the favourite things to feed Beau. When he gets settled I can go eat and leave him alone for thirty minutes or adapt to his dog foods.. They have many excursions but I am not into that and will rather work cross-word puzzles at home and get on with all the Farley Mowat books in store. Now here is the feature I am not sure of... I do not see Wi-Fi on their feature list so it might take time to get a telephone installed and with this new PC there must be a teeny tiny modem in place. Thus when I am ready to leave here I will go vacation with my Gmail until set up in my new room. After four minor strokes and the resulting epilepsy I fear more. I have limited physical ability now and still am very fortunate but it would be good to be seen for and more safety. My kids here are only minutes away and the grand-kids and Missi maybe five minutes. So I will not be shipped to Siberia but in the old days and Farley Mowat's visits I would love that too. Now I am in a busy mode of sorting things to go and what to let the fam use. Most sadly I will not give my share for the dogs in need with you and the suffering in Asia. This gives me tears of despair but I hope my life has not been in vane and those I trust will carry on. We just shall see how the finances are handled. I might get Veterans benefits as an X wife of almost 50 years of a Korean Vet. Those years terminated by his alcoholism all the years and my sanity to keep. My kids and the 'home' are finding anything to help me, this place is the more unusual for the usual income and I am so fortunate to get to live there. They even cater for our Veggie diets and very well. In other words I will get to be on the most wonderful vacation of my life! Will tell you more when I find. As Carrie who is also in a destitute circumstance we shall be always on hand for advice and praise and most of all the joy in homing of a critter most needy. This is all for now... Mo and Beau
