Oh, Patty! I'm so sorry to hear this. I know how your heart is broken.
I'm so glad you could be there and hold him, poor scared baby turned into a
trusting friend by your love.

Everyone should give their babies a special hug and treat and tummy rub
tonight. One day they're with us and the next day they're gone.

Subject: [eskiepeople:19331] I had to put Deef my first rescue down

He was 17. He had broken his back leg somehow. I came home Sat night
from work and he was not able to walk. Vet said he broke his leg. For life
of me cannot figure. Caught in furntirue and torqued it???

he was fragile but still had those gorgeous big wide open black eyes and
furry ears and had a glow about him. Lucky I had Rimadyl to give him until
today and it helped the process as well. I was able to sing and hold him I
felt so close to eim. the vet was the one that is so good and I could tell
he was relieved and had a very peaceful look to him.

I know I have had situations where the poor honeys had sad scared looks
after they passed. But Deef..... still looked alive. I adored him.
He was all boy. a couch potato and now Sammy scared lil Sammy won't have
his papa with him. I worry reg Sammy. I have to pull together and get
to worik.

I was lucky to have Deef. He was my "guy". He was a tyke found in the
garbage in Idaho and had been rescued for 5 years and they just kept him
outside and the neighbor critters adn cruel kids kept taunting him. I was
lucky to give him my home. It was scarey at first but he mellowed
out. he loved his lovin on the couch and was protective of that
when the others would come around........ so I know he enjoyed it. so we
had some very quality time at the end. and I feel him still with me.
Thanks for being there for me to cry. xxxx
