Hi All,

My teacher of political economy used to say that TV and sports too (If
I remember well) are just state control mechanisms to keep people
entertained, not thinking about real problems of the daily life. I
agree in some extent. Professional sports are big bussiness. Cultural
and sport events play an important role, don't they? I think both
activities should form part of everyone's life but it's minimal the
support of governments. Education and promotion of sport is not a
priority in many countries.

I love jogging and participating in long distance events (road races,
5, 10 and some more than10 km). Jogging is great because you can
practice it everywhere and as happens in other few individual sports,
you depend only on yourself, and you compete against yourself, and you
can participate in races with the competitive atheles, no matter how
good you are. The position is a secundary thing. It's the
satisfaction of being able to reach the finish line, or running
against your close friends.

Thank you,

Pablo
