Hi everyone,

It is undeniable that money is not the most important factor in life.
However, without it we can't have a happy life because money is a crucial
tool to satisfy people's material demand. It is questionable that is it
better to enjoy our money we make or is it better to save our money for the
future. In my opinion, different people will have different answers for this
question. Furthermore, it also depends on culture and other factors like
richness, social position, marital status, so on. For example, in my
country, there is a big difference in spending money between Northern and
Southern people. By and large, people in the South tend to consume more than
Northern people. Southern people also travel abroad and buy luxury items
more than Northern . The Northern people often save a lot of money to buy
big house and expensive car, while the Southern people can live in small
house or even rent, and spend thier money on enjoying life. It is believed
that Southern people are affected by Western lifestyle which has embeded
there since the Vietnam war. I myself also find that old people often love
saving than young people, which is explained by the generation gap. My
parents are typical examples. They had to experience the difficult time in
Vietnam war when there weren't enough basic things like food, clothes, etc.
They understand how worth money is, therefore, they consider very carefully
before consuming. They are only two among many examples which show the
different trends in consuming. In my case, to be honest, it's difficult for
me to save money for the future because my salary is not very high. However,
in my opinion, besides enjoying money we made, we should save a small amount
of money in case we might get illed or jobless. How can we overcome these
difficult situations without savingmoney?
In conclusion, we should divide our income for spending and saving
reasonably.

Thank you and best regards
Nguyen Thuy.
