Sorry, I forgot to give you the recommendation on which database should be installed. 1. babylon-dictionary (highly recommended) 2. picture dictionary (recommended) 3. oxford collocation dictionary (highly recommended) 4. online etymology dictionary (recommended) (give the original of words) 5. encylopedia dictionaries (all the encyclopedia are useful) (recommended). 6. GVT02 (Gerry Vocab teacher - which provides lots of examples) (highly recommended). 7. The phrase finder (recommended) you could also try other dictionaries from the store.

The outstanding features of this dictionary are as follow: - it can capture word in most application even in Firefox web brower (I haven't found out any application that it cann't capture words) - It provides you the defination in all installed dictionaries at the same time so that you have an overview of the word. (especially picture dictionary, collocation dictionary, encyclopedia dictionaries, thesaurus dictionary). - It also give you a huge number of examples and contexts (which is really essential for us to remember a word). - you could still download text to speech machine here to read long text in encyclopedia dictionaries. (install callie-text2speech machine and register it, then you can select the text, right click on the selected text and choose "say it"). - moreover, when you can't remember exactly the spelling of some words, you could find out it easily by typing the word as you remember and it will give you some suggestions.
