Hello Charles Chaya Simone Oshiro Ed Jason Claire Alberto Eckman and all new comers,
Charles, have I been waiting patiently or impatiently for your return?! Please kindly confess to them all here!LOL So far,do the most determined, the strongest and the smartest rule the world? If it's the most determined,it can be dangerous for the rest of us. They can be merciless,agressive,single-minded,and what other adjectives to add here,Chaya?:) I have to agree with you,Charles that there's one simple way to divide people which is the leader and his/her followers. But I disagree that leaders are the smartest or the strongest. Why don't you take a look at the world leaders and tell me if it applies to them, too?LOL Sometimes the reason why we obey the rules isn't because we're afraid to be punished. It sometimes can be because we are too lazy or should I say too blind to think for ourselves!LOL Sorry,I may be too cynical today or yesterday. Bear with me again. I'm still too sick to be subtle now...LOL Good night to you all! I've enjoyed reading all messages from you each!!! Don't ask me why but I feel so much closer to you all these days...;) You made my day!;) Pln On Sep 15, 2:06 pm, Charles <[email protected]> wrote: > Yes,I do > > It's a world that powful people rule the others. We have to admit it that > most of us follow of the rules are just fear of being punished.Do you agree? > > People who can control sisuation are the boss and have more chance to > survive.Don't you agree? > > So being strong, being smart. > > Good days to you and all > Charles > > > > On Tue, Sep 15, 2009 at 2:10 PM, Chaya Eitan <[email protected]> wrote: > > The most determined! > > > C. > > > --- On *Mon, 9/14/09, pln471 <[email protected]>* wrote: > > > From: pln471 <[email protected]> > > Subject: [ESL Podcast] Re: Do you believe in 'the survival of the fittest'? > > > To: "ESL Podcast Study Group" <[email protected]> > > Date: Monday, September 14, 2009, 2:20 PM > > > Hello Chaya Alberto Oshiro Jason Kevin Vikas Dipal Renzo and so many > > more new names I can't keep track anymore,LOL > > > Thanks a lot,Chaya! > > You just nailed the key point of this question. > > > In your own opinion, who's the fittest in the society,in the world or > > on Earth? > > You can give examples of countries, big enterprises, billionaires, and > > etc. > > > Do you think it's fair to say that those who dominate are the fittest? > > Are the fittest the strongest, the most competent, the most intelligent > > or the most flexible? > > > Are there any flaws in this theory? > > Do you see anything controversial in it? > > > Please bear with me if I have asked some stupid questions or if I have > > underestimated your intelligence. > > I did it because I need to cover learners of all levels which I often > > forgot about... > > > Looking forward to your replies! > > Good night, > > Pln > > > On Sep 14, 9:19 pm, Chaya Eitan > > <[email protected]<http://mc/[email protected]>> > > wrote: > > > The question is what do you mean by the 'fittest?' > > > > Chaya > > > > --- On Mon, 9/14/09, claire > > > <[email protected]<http://mc/[email protected]>> > > wrote: > > > > From: claire > > > <[email protected]<http://mc/[email protected]> > > > > Subject: [ESL Podcast] Do you believe in 'the survival of the fittest'? > > > To: "ESL Podcast Study Group" > > > <[email protected]<http://mc/[email protected]> > > > > Date: Monday, September 14, 2009, 3:59 AM > > > > Dear all rational men and multi-tasking women, > > > (Alberto,do I need to pay you for the copyright?;)) > > > > This is a question Pln asked before at English Learner's Cafe, but it > > > was gone for some bizarre reason.:( > > > > Luckily I kept a note of this question,so I thought those of you who > > > didn't take part in the discussion before can think about it now,and > > > give us some new insights into the theory of Darwin here: > > > > Do you believe in the theory that only the fittest can survive in the > > > world? > > > > If not, what's your own theory? > > > > Looking forward to your replies! > > > > Thank you and good day! > > > > Claire- Hide quoted text - > > - Show quoted text - --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ESL Podcast".
