Dear Pauline How are you doing? Since you are not on my Skype list several days again, I quite miss you.
First impression is important. We deal with people giving us good impression, which means good first impression have more chance. For example, in basketball court playing ball with strangers, we pass our ball first time to the people like a good player, even some time it's not the truth. We just do it every time. I myself judge people from their professional appearance, such as cloth, shoes, hands, eyes and others. For example, a person tell me he is a business man, I judge him if he looks like a business man. Overestimate or underestimate people. Sure. Often. I am not god. We can't know people in such a short time Good days to you Charles On Sun, Dec 6, 2009 at 5:44 PM, pln471 <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear all, > > I had similar discussions with students whose English levels differed > from the whole language centre.;) > > Questions as below: > > Do you believe in first impressions? > > How long does it take you to form your very first impression on that > person? > > What is it based on?(their outfit, body language, smile, voice, etc) > > Do you more often overstimate or understimate people? > > Has it ever done any significant damage on your relationship, career or > life?:) > > Looking forward to your responses! > > Thanks in advance and beautiful Sunday! > Pln > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "ESL Podcast". > To post to this group, send email to: [email protected] or just > reply this message > For invite your friends, visit: > http://groups.google.com/group/eslpodcast/members_invite > Know how help us, visit this FAQ at: > http://groups.google.com/group/eslpodcast/web/frequently-asked-questions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ESL Podcast".
