One of the computers I use doesn't have a sound a mixer or a good sound card, I don't exactly. I wasn't able to record streaming audio to listen to in my mp3 player, until now. Well, I found a solution different to buy another sound card beside the built-in one. First, I plugged one end of a short audio cable to the audio output jack and the other end to the speaker jack, in other words, to make the audio output turns into the speakers audio input. Well, it worked, you can record streaming audio this way, but you can't hear a thing while recording. Then, I bought a cheap small audio splitter and now I can finally record the audio from Internet, from TV programs, radio stations, etc. and at the same time, to be able to hear the recorded streaming audio. It's a limited solution because if you are playing more than one audio sources, you will record all of those audio sources (besides the very Windows sounds). I understand that having a good mixer, you can specify the audio source you want to record. I hope it helps.
