Hi everybody, Internel is full of resources and tools for every learner, isn't it? I think we can get started setting ourselves some goals. And work around them.
If you need/want to improve your writing skills, find a place where you can do that in a pleasant way, without fears. I honestly think Google Groups is not the best option for this because is by default email-based. The interaction is limited. When I post a message in this forum, I'm thinking that my message is going to flood everyone's inbox. Don't you feel the same way? Well, I've been interacting in the GEF Facebook Group for some weeks now (look at the FB link at the top of the main page of this group). I think that's a better place to improve our writing, and to interact. I also belong to that group. And I'm here and there too. I'll keep participanting here and there. Just for the benefit of those who are not familiar, in FB everyone has a 'wall'. You can write whatever in your wall, and you can make comments on your friends wall, leave them private messages or write in the wall of the group, in a friendly way, or to participate in debates. You'll find photos, videos, links and many posts for all tastes, not only in English. Or click on other members posts, simply to say 'I like it'. Or write something in your FB pages in your mother tongue if you feel like. Or read/write/interact in other FB groups, for example, "You Are Never Too Old For A Disney Movie" or "The History Channel", etc. Whatever you find pleasant/interesting. Sorry Ed, I don't feel comfortable writing about the GEF Group because I know you don't like or not have time for FB. But It makes me feel uncomfortable to see or to realize myself that I'm not the only one who is afraid to post or reply in this forum. Anyway, if you'd rather practice here, just do it, but just do it as often as you can, and do it as long as you can. The more you write the more you can improve. Here or anywhere, but practice the most you can, don't keep silent/ fearful forever.
