At this moment Ed in very smooth way changed the idea of the topic
intruducing another significant issue.

In my opinion the answer is obvious: of course there is huge
influence and big power in TV companies. It is important only to draw
attention that people shape their impressions based on information,
which the most popular source is TV, internet and papers. Among them
internet is fortunately impossible to control of (in spite of some
trials, e.g by chinese government during Olympic Games), but TV owning
by the group of people who wants to use it as a useful tool for their
particular interests is powerful media. The way of broadcasting can
considerably affect out view of some issues.

So - the TV company have a great power of forming human opinions.
