Hello Kelvin, I agree with Ed that the best and foremost motivation has to be the drive from within; if you don't find it fun or useful to learn English,it's very easy to feel discouraged or frustrated. As a consequence,once you feel so,it's harder to make progress...
If I were you,I would only touch the materials that is light and entertaining; take it as if going back to the babyhood where you feel safe and playful. I would also love to emphasize to all that the sooner you get rid of the idea that English is just a subject or a way to get better jobs,the faster you will make a break through! Make it a TOOL instead.Once you find it useful...to read an English book,to watch an English movie,to listen to an English song or to go to an English lecture,you are automatically curious,interested and motivated!
