I heard there are a lot of Scala-related presentations which were accepted for JavaOne this year, so people are starting to pay attention, it would take some time before more developers consider using it. Lift version 1.0 was released just recently and interest is starting to grow. >> OK. The question is then how do we position ESME as an environment where these developers who are interested in Scala and/or lift are motivated to participate. My suggestions - 1) we must increase awareness of ESME in these communitites, 2) we must provide entry points for those who are new to Scala or lift - we need a description of ESME as a Lift application, 3) we need bite-sized simple tasks that a beginner could perform (As we have said before, JIRA tasks need to be much more granular) << My 2 cents, Vassil
